One of the most difficult things to witness is the decline of a loved one.
Often a more difficult thing to accept is that we need help, both on the part of the individual who is in decline, as well as on the part of the caregiver.
Fortunately, help does not have to be limited to making a decision to remove a person from the place that they know as home. We can often provide the care and services necessary to prevent nursing facility placement for many individuals, reducing the burden on caregivers and family members, and allowing more independence for the individual requiring care.
